Throughout her entire career, teaching always played a pivotal role. While performing was gratifying, Miss Lizzy’s true gift and passion was found in teaching. Miss Lizzy continued to dance professionally while teaching until 2014 when she made the thoughtful decision to pursue teaching full time.  She then spent the next 6 years perfecting her craft teaching everything from advanced technique to the Mini Performance Company. Year after year, her outstanding work and choreography received the most prestigious awards on a state level. It is undeniable to anyone that has had the opportunity to work with Miss Lizzy that she puts her heart & soul into her work and always goes above & beyond to ensure that her students are the best they can be on and off the dance floor.

While Miss Lizzy enjoys working with students of all ages and levels her innate ability to connect with the youngest dancers was recognized and highly sought after. After much thought, in 2019 Miss Lizzy founded First Steps Dance Program to focus on her main love, giving little ones the gift of movement and expression.

She just moved back to Illinois and is looking forward to getting more experience at teaching dance. At her studio growing up she helped assist dance classes and camps, for younger students at the studio. She also has experience working with young kids, as she worked at a daycare the summer of 2021. One of her courses she took her senior year of college was a dance education course. This course taught her many skills that she will apply to her own teaching style in her future with dance education. She really enjoys working with younger dancers and seeing each student's unique expressions with movement.
